What is the Eagles Nest?
The Eagles Nest has been established to help Desert Chapel Christian School achieve its goal of graduating and preparing students for the next step in a spiritually balanced life. The Eagles Nest education and tuition fund is set up to help provide our students and teachers with the resources needed for the school to continue producing “complete students.” In addition to providing these resources, the fund is also providing financial aid for families that need assistance in order to allow their children to attend the school of their choice and a school that provides the Christian environment they seek.

Desert Chapel Christian School is the least expensive private school in the Coachella Valley. In able to bring our students the best possible education at an affordable cost, the school has had to rely on the church for financial help. To stand on its own, tuition alone is not enough, and additional means of fundraising are needed. That is where the Eagles Nest comes in.

Since the inception of the Eagles Nest, we have been able to continue our traditional golf Tournament as well as start new traditions such as our dinner auction, which we hold each spring. At our first dinner auction, “An Evening in Paris”, we not only raised funds ($40,000. Gross) for the school, but raised $6,000. Specifically for computer upgrades as our students dive deeper into the technology age.

In second Corinthians, chapter 9, the bible says God loves a cheerful giver. He also states each giver should give as he has planned in his heart. The Eagles Nest seeks people who have a giving heart for others. We express our needs, but also emphasize that this fund is not a substitute for personal tithing. The bible teaches us to give to the storehouse, or the place where we are spiritually feed. The Eagles Nest is not the storehouse, rather a fund to assist the school in providing educational opportunities and resources to spiritually inspired students of the Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.
