Middle School Academics
The middle school program at DCCS strives to create students who are life-long learners and leaders. Our skills-based curriculum is designed to develop critical thinking, problem solving skills, good study habits, and promote character development and leadership. Bible class is an integral part of the academic program and a weekly chapel service brings the whole school community together.

At the 6th and 7th grade level, our students are enrolled in an intensive academic program which includes the core courses of Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, as well as courses in Bible and Latin. The Science program introduces students to all aspects of science including physical, life, and biology and is held in our newly created science lab.

Our 8th graders are given the chance to learn what high school is all about. They take classes taught by our high school teachers and follow the same bell schedule as the high school. 8th grade students are given the opportunity to have two semester-long elective courses in Art and Drama. The Drama class performs a stage production and the Art classes submit artwork for various local contests.
